1.Basic information:

Magnesium stearate is a white, non-sand fine powder; it has a slight odor; it has a creamy feel when it comes into contact with the skin. This product is insoluble in water, ethanol or ether, and is mainly used as a lubricant, anti-adherent, and flow aid. It is particularly suitable for the granulation of oils and extracts, and the resulting granules have good fluidity and compressibility. Used as a flow aid in direct tableting. It can also be used as a filter aid, clarifier and defoamer, as well as suspending agent and thickener for liquid preparations.

3.Application:

They are white, fine powder, insoluble in water. When mixed with hot, strong mineral acids, they decomposed into stearic acid and corresponding magnesium salts.They are widely used as lubricants, slipping agents, heat-stabilizers, mould releasing agents and accelerants in plastic, machinery engineering, rubbers, paints and inks industry etc.

5.Storage:

Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.

The temperature should not exceed 37 °C.

It should be stored separately from oxidants and food chemicals, and should not be mixed (see Section 10 for incompatible materials).

Keep the container sealed. Keep away from fire and heat.

Lightning protection equipment must be installed in the warehouse.

The exhaust system should be provided with a grounding device that removes static electricity.

Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation settings.

It is forbidden to use equipment and tools that are prone to sparks.

The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable containment materials.
