3.Application:
 
Dimethyl phthalate is a kind of plasticizer with strong solubility to many kinds of resins.Dimethyl phthalate 
can be compatible with many kinds of cellulose resins, rubber and vinyl resins. Dimethyl phthalate has good 
film forming, adhesion and waterproofing. Usually with diethyl phthalate used in cellulose acetate film, 
varnish, transparent paper and molding powder production. A small amount is used in the production of 
nitrocellulose. Dimethyl phthalate can also be used as a plasticizer for NBR. The product has good cold 
resistance. Mix with other plasticizers. Dimethyl phthalate can overcome the shortcomings of high volatility 
and low temperature crystallization. Dimethyl phthalate can also be used as a solvent for mosquito repellent 
oil (crude oil) and DDT. The product is also used as a stationary phase for gas chromatography.
